Plan to join us in 2018 for the annual Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage Conference, co-locating for a second time with ELECTRIC POWER, March 19-22, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN. The CCUS Conference is designed for U.S. and international leaders, technical experts, researchers, and industry executives in the field of carbon capture, utilization and storage to gather and discuss efforts to decarbonize the energy and industrial sectors.


CALL FOR ABSTRACTS IS OPEN
Submit your abstract by September 30, 2017.

We are now seeking abstracts for the 2018 conference. All submissions must be received by September 30, 2017 for consideration. Abstract authors will be contacted in the event that their abstract is accepted.

Examples of appropriate topics include:

  • Commercially available CO2 Capture Systems
  • Potential Ambient Air CO2 Capture Technology Systems
  • Major CCS/CCUS Projects Around the World
  • CO2 Geological Storage Risk Analyses
  • CO2 Storage Monitoring Technology Advancements
  • Standards/Protocols/Regulations in Place or Being Proposed for CCUS/CCS
  • CO2 Transport and Infrastructure Needs
  • Environmental Impact Assessments of Geo-Storage
  • CO2 Utilization, Conventional and Novel
  • Commercial and Government funding resources

Technical Session requirements:

  • Each proposal should include a presentation summary (100 words or less) and an abstract summary (500 words or less)
  • Presentation materials in PowerPoint format must be submitted in advance of the event

Proposals for 30-minute breakout technical sessions will be considered. Each paper will have 20 minutes for formal remarks and 10 minutes for Q&A with the audience. Breakout sessions will be limited to one speaker, but all paper authors are welcome to attend the event. The abstracts we are unable to accommodate in breakout technical tracks will be considered for poster presentations.

Plenary Session requirements:

  • Each proposal should include a presentation summary (100 words or less) and abstract summary (500 words or less)
  • Presentation materials in PowerPoint format must be submitted in advance of the event

Papers to be included in the plenary session will be considered on an individual basis as either a stand-alone presentation or part of a panel discussion. Preference will be given to the most current topics

Poster Presentation requirements:

  • Each proposal should include brief abstract (100 words or less)
  • Poster materials in PDF format must be submitted in advance of the event

Poster sessions will take place during receptions on the ELECTRIC POWER Exhibit floor. Because the CCUS Conference is co-locating with the ELECTRIC POWER Conference + Exhibition, posters have great visibility! The posters will be located in the CCUS pavilion on the exhibitor floor, so CCUS posters will be on display for CCUS attendees and ELECTRIC POWER attendees and exhibitors.
